What are the health care challenges in Uganda?
TEXT
Dr Obady Vitswamba highlights that there are two key problems that impact patients ability to gain access to safe surgical care in Uganda.
1. There is a lack of awareness from patients and health professionals of the available treatments and clinics for these specific conditions.
2. In Uganda, there is no insurance for illness or trauma conditions. Since patients have a limited amount of money, it results in them settling for ineffective treatments and having extensive complications post-treatment.
